What is Occupational Therapy?

The science of meaningful participation.

Occupational therapy is grounded in the relationship between the person, their occupations — the activities that give life meaning and structure — and their environment. When any part of that relationship is disrupted by injury, illness, or circumstance, participation is impacted.

Occupational therapists work at the intersection of all three. We assess how barriers in your physical, cognitive, emotional, or environmental context are limiting your ability to engage in the roles that matter most — whether that's returning to work, reconnecting socially, managing daily routines, or simply doing the things that bring you purpose and joy.

Our role is to help you identify those barriers and overcome them — restoring function, building capacity, and empowering you to participate fully in your own life.
